The Beijing Youth Daily reporter learned that starting from August 1, 2020, the city has further relaxed the application conditions for market rental subsidies and raised subsidy standards. The application requirements are adjusted from the family’s monthly income per capita of no more than 2,400 yuan to no more than 4,200 yuan, an increase of 75%; the maximum subsidy standard for families with three or more people is increased from 2,000 yuan to 3,500 yuan, and the minimum subsidy standard for families with two or fewer people is increased from 200 Yuan increased to 1,000 Yuan. At the same time, if families in the core area rent houses outside the city’s six districts and go through the registration of the lease in accordance with the regulations, the two-tier market rental subsidy standard can be raised upon review. According to data, from August to December 2020, there were 11,700 new applications for market rental subsidies, 8.3 times that of the same period in 2019.
In order to realize the positioning of “a house is for living, not for speculation” and to achieve the goal of “housing and living in peace”, the Municipal Finance Bureau has been actively raising construction funds, vigorously developing public rental housing, and increasing the market in recent years. According to reports, in the past five years, the financial department has coordinated funds of 35.363 billion yuan to support the construction and purchase of public rental housing. The city has allocated 160,000 public rental housing units and helped more than 400,000 residents solve housing difficulties. As of the end of 2020, all households in the four categories of public rental housing including subsistence allowance, low income, severe disability, and serious illness included in the monitoring scope of the “seven possessions” and “five genders” housing have all applied for “insurance as required”.
